Canon introduced the next generation in the form of the Canon PowerShot G16. If
you want to transfer photos faster, then you will be happy because the Canon
G16 has been reinforced with Wi-Fi connectivity so that you can send photos
wirelessly to a variety of gadgets such as smartphones and tablets.

Physically,
the Canon PowerShot G16 you will see no change, especially in the rubber-coated
handgrip and appear more rounded. Canon
PowerShot G16 is equipped the latest image processor, DIGIC 6, so the G16 can
record HD video with a frame rate to 60 FPS (progressive). DIGIC 6 bring with
it a raft of improvements including better low-light abilities; faster burst
shooting and snappier autofocus. DIGIC 6 is also likely behind the
video boost, which sees both cameras able to shoot full HD footage at a silk-smooth
60fps – a first for a Canon camera.

The
camera boasts continuous shooting speeds of up to 9.3 fps. The G16 also
captures 1080p/60p Full HD video, and includes a built-in stereo microphone and
an HDMI output so users have the ability to view videos on their HDTV.
More Creative
filters
If you need to creative photos, Canon G16 also equipped with new creative
filters: Star Trails and Star Time Lapse Movie. HDR Scene modes are also
available and include: Natural, Art Bold, Art Embossed, Art Standard and Art
Vivid options. Background Defocus, including fish-eye and monochrome, for those
who like that kind of thing. Star Nightscape will use the cameras’ impressive
low-light abilities to get atmospheric shots of the stars, and Background Defocus, lets you blur the
background of a picture for that nice bokeh-y effect that’s de rigueur these
